I rolled out a new version a few minutes ago. No one was supposed to notice, since the changes were are internal -- making logins and suchlike more efficient, and making it easier for me to introduce stuff like OpenId.
Unfortunately, I hadn't tested my improvements in any browser other than FireFox on Linux, and it promptly blew up and wouldn't let anyone but me and about four other lucky duckies log in. I spotted the incompatibility after a few minutes, and it should now work for everyone.
If it just sits and spins when you try to log in, click on the "Reload Page" link at the bottom of the sidebar before panicking.

Evan--I'm unable to log in using my usual browser, Safari (on a Mac, of course, in OSX 10.4). I can get in if I use FireFox, but that isn't ordinarily my browser of choice. Hoping you'll have some time to open the door to Safari users (maybe it's just me? suggestions welcome re: what setting I can change).

I am on Apple with Firefox and cannot get in today - yesterday was fine.
Glad you're working on the game ...but today neither Firefox 3.0.10 nor IE 8.0.6001 running in Windows XP, Service Pack 3) will allow me to log in, even with multiple attempts with the Reload Page link in the sidebar :(
If you need someone to test changes in either of these configurations (or Windows Vista), just say the word.

I am having trouble loading the page period, from my usual web browser. Usually I play the game from a PC running Vista, through Firefox, and everything runs perfectly. Unfortunately for about a week, I have been unable to load the site. Firefox version is 3.5.2. If I try opening the site using Internet Explorer, on the same computer, the site seems to load normally, but i can't stand internet explorer :(
I also tried accessing the page on a Mac through Firefox, and that worked, and also through Safari which also worked.....
So I only experience this issue when I attempt to load the site using Firefox on the PC.... which happens to be the computer/browser that I prefer playing the game... :(
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Anyone have any theories? Advice? Thanks in Advance
and Thank you so much for the game and the website, I really appreciate the hard work you put into it. WordSplay helps get me through Insomnia/Stress/Depression/Boredom/etc.... I don't know what I would do without it!
I'm using IE and haven't been able to log on for the past few days. Help!!! I enjoy the game and miss it.
Can you tell me why I haven't been able to play since last week? I'm using IE running in Windows XP. Do you have any suggestions?
